FIRST POSITION is a short film directed by Michael Thomas. Taking place in the 1980’s, a young dancer moves to San Fransisco to pursue his dream, where he meets and falls in love with a renowned choreographer. Everything is going well until our protagonist begins to experience the first signs of a mysterious illness.
First position is a period film, all sets and stages dressed to reflect the film’s time period - 1982.
First Position premiered at Los Angeles OUTFEST, the Sidewalk Film Festival, NewFest Film Festival, and was a semi-finalist at the Burbank International Film Festival
